    A WAY WITH WORDS: A Poetic Venture

    In remembrance of the coffee houses of yore, where poets and the “wordsmiths” gathered to share the wonders their words might evoke, we launch our 2023 version of  “the coffee house.” We are calling on all Poets, Writers, and Wordsmiths to read and share their poetry/writings in an accepting ambiance, with a laid back, albeit enthusiastic audience! Each reader is allowed 5 to 7 minutes. The doors open 6:30pm. Sign-ups are first in, first read.  Admission is $5 for all.  Coffee & snacks are available to purchase.

    Monthly on Third Thursdays, 7:30 – 8:30pm EDT
    Zikr is the practice of remembering our true essence by chanting and repeating sacred phrases to dive into the ocean of oneness.  These phrases, passed down generation to generation, are sound codes for clearing, healing, and transforming the body, mind, and heart. We become better aligned with spirit and oneness through intention, connection, love, and grace. We will sing, pray, read poems, and chant together in a circle, connecting and remembering.

    Suggested Donation: $5-20

    Doors open at 6:30 pm then close at 7 pm when meditation begins. We end at 8 pm.

    Donations:  Rising Tide is the “home” of the Women’s Meditation Circle. We are committed to its care and respectful of the generosity of the center in allowing us to use it on Friday evenings. Therefore a donation of $10 is suggested – more if you can, less if you can’t. Rising Tide is a 501c3 organization so all donations are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to Rising Tide or make donations with the Rising Tide Donation Page.
