40 Minutes of Meditation
In the depth of winter we rejuvenate our souls and selves by sitting together in relaxed, awake awareness.
Disrobing the day and impressions we carry, we are able to enter into quiet contemplation more and more easefully each breath.
By exercising the muscles of concentration, contemplation, meditation, and realization, we bring the infinite well of possibilities into our own daily lives, becoming renewed and centered in purposeful flow with all of life, of which we are so lucky to be a part.
40 minutes of sitting, with some guided meditation practices for the first 5-10 minutes, to enter and delve into the rich illuminated silence of breath, heart, in presence.
Practices drawn from the universalist Sufi Inayati tradition, in addition to others, poems, and contemplative words.

Chris Akbar Miller has been meditating for over 20 years and is a Representative and Healing Minister in the universalist Inayati Sufi tradition. He grew up and was confirmed Christian, and has studied meditation and spiritual practice through Yoga, Qi Gong, Buddhism, poetry, nature, and Sufism among others.
