November 23rd – Shfar’am

ABRAHAMIC REUNION RESPONDS TO FIREBOMBED SYNAGOGUE WITH NOVEMBER 23RD EVENT

The situation in the Holy Land continues to flare up – last week there were difficulties at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, a Mosque was burned in a West Bank town outside Ramallah, and two days ago a Synagogue was firebombed (burned on the outside with a molotov cocktail) in Shfar’am, an Arab town of the north, where there is a strong interfaith presence from one of our founding Abrahamic Reunion members Elias Jabbour.
This is the time for leaders and peacemakers to come forth from all sides of the conflict – Jewish, Muslim, Arab, Hebrew, Christian, Druze, to call for harmony and solutions of peace.
The Abrahamic Reunion is planning a response event at the defaced Synagogue in Shfar’am this November 23rd, to show that, especially in light of religious violence, friendship amongst religions is paramount.
As the Chief Rabbi of Tsfat Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu said at our October event in Acco, “We must unite as believers in the one G-d.”
